You can basically double jump using popplio bubbles which helps you to avoid combos.

What can Litten do? I saw a video where these guys were playing Pokken and both chose the Popplio assist over Litten.

Litten is kind of a projectile, it dashs at the opponent with fire fang knocking them back then jumps in the air to follow up its previous attack in a combo, or just anti-air, then does a little exploding attack to finish, I also need to mention, the lower your HP is, the higher Litten's damage becomes.

And with that I believe Popplio and Litten are among the best if not the best support mons.

nah, it may seem that way at first but people will figure out how to play around it easily enough
plus it doesn't seem to last very long, and picking poppy means you aren't using one of the other really good assists, which you may need depending on the matchup

bad jumps are still going to get anti aired no matter how many times you can float in the air
