Barry appreciation thread. I used to hate him first time I played

platinum Barry is the single most powerful rival in all pokemon games
check the team composition of the various rivals, his is by far the best

Hugh's team, despite having only 4 'mons is better than a bunch of the 5 'mon teams and certainly better than Blue's crapass lineup (aside from his alakazam he has nothing, even his gyarados sucks by virtue of having no physical attacks)

I guess he technically isn't, but I always felt like N was more of your rival in BW than Cheren or Bianca.

Barry's that character that seems to get forgotten by people since he doesn't really have a striking feature other than ADHD. Most often characters are remembered because they're either A: good (by pokemon standards) or B: just plain awful. I really like him. My favorite rival after Blue.

but I'd say he isn't exactly a rival, he's the main antagonist, which is another character type you fight on various occasions throughout the game
