They should make a region based on Hokkaido.
The Hokkaido region is very huge, you literally can make 2 games based on it, and its surrounded by islands, snowy locations, farms, mountains, rivers, forests, and so many more. And Game Freak can create many stories based on the region. Hell, they can tease a region based on Russia because Hokkaido is near Russia.
