I liked it, and wish the game had more sidequess like it and the Akala Captain ones with these quests being some of the brightest spots of the game, but I didn't get sad.

Some of the dex entries are pointlessly tryhard. The actual content of them would be fine in the hands of a more skilled writer but as it is the wording used in most of the darker ones come off like an edgy middle school kid wrote them, and no one wants to read that shit. The Mega entries tend to be the clearest examples of this.

The Eevee quest is fine, it's got a somber tone to it, but there's nothing wrong with that.
