I don't know why but all the second versions are better than the first versions in all ways, the only exceptions are Red from Gen 1, and X and Omega Ruby from Gen 6:

- Silver: Lugia being in main game instead of post-game and Skarmory.

- Ruby: Kyogre is better competitively because it has a weather that affects its STAB and a good coverage in Thunder that also comes from its higher stat, and Team Aqua is a better team than Magma.

- Pearl: Diamond and Pearl are almost equal except for exclusive Pokémon from Poké Radar like Bagon (Salamence is Uber in Gen 4)

- SoulSilver: See Silver.

- White: Zekrom vs Reshiram. Despite Zekrom's lacking movepool it is better than Reshiram only because Zekrom is a physical Electric-type, meanwhile Reshiram only has Fire- and Dragon-type moves and there are way too much Fire- and Dragon-type Pokémon in Ubers so there are very little reasons to pick it over things like Latios, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Arceus-Fire, even from White Kyurem. White also has a mini Safari Zone in White Forest and a medieval Opelucid City that matches the type that the Gym Leader's type, while Black has the Black City that has trainers with Pokémon from White Forest for people ask them from GTS, and a modern Opelucid City (see OP) that doesn't matches the Gym Leader's type in any ways.

- White 2: Opelucid City from Black and White, White Kyurem is Uber because of 170 Sp. Attack, a movepool that works from its Sp. Attack, good coverage in Fusion Fire, and two 140 BP moves (Ice Burn and Draco Meteor), while Black 2 has the inferior Black Kyurem that struggles to stay in OU with 170 Attack, a very lacking movepool (has to go mixed because of no good Ice-type moves) only notable Physical Ice-type move is signature move that can be used with Power Herb but that only works once in battle and has Electric-type coverage that doesn't need. The only good thing that Black 2 has is Gible,

- Moon: Superior Night and Lunala (Multiscale that ignores abilities and move that deletes or change abilities), Pheromosa and Celesteela vs. Day and Solgaleo (Metagross made a legendary Pokémon), Buzzwole (UU lol), and Kartana.

- Ultra Moon: There are no info about the games but as soon as they revealed them Ultra Solgaleo's armor has a :) face, while Ultra Lunala looks more threatening.
