No I just mean that the guys at Game Freak need to actually travel to these countries before making the games, so I think it'd be unlikely for them to create a region based on some shithole in the middle of nowhere.

Buuut, I just checked and Nam is actually pretty popular with nips, surprisingly even more than France, which doesn't even appear in the list

You'll never know that Gamefreak team ever visit vietnam or not. They can just send their team without Masuda or any producer. So people won't get notice by follow Masuda twitter.
