DLC wasn't at all big in 2009. No reason game freak can't adopt to 2017 and release instead of making me pat 49.99 CAD for a game I just bought twice last year.

Only a direct sequel should be acceptable nowadays.
Anyway, this game is described as a retelling...so, for the ones who already played the first game, it should be way more interessting than Emerald/Platinum who were just good improvements with small changes to the story.
