Gen 5 did Z-moves first and they were usable more than once per/fight

Now you know why they had to remove them.

I thought Gems were going to be more useful, but in practice, Z-moves are just better competitively. Especially Z-moves for statuses like Hypnosis and Happy Hour.

>Z-moves like Belly Drum, Hypnosis, Happy Hour, ect. being way better for sweeping than Gems could ever.

Z moves actually did end up being decent though. The advantage they have over gems is that they make shitty moves like Fly, Solar Beam, and Hyper Beam more usable because it replaces the entire move with a powered up generic one.
