I inject to bypass all the IV and nature bullshit, but I actually do enjoy the "cheater's colosseum" honestly. Battling and winning against another player is cool and all, but it's also really satisfying to win in the battle tree/Maison/tower/whatever. Feels good beating something that stacks the odds against you.
