Iris being Bianca's bodyguard was completely pointless.
Clay dragging on throughout the whole of Driftveil and following you up to Chargestone was way too much.
Skyla healing a pokémon on top of the tower should have been an optional neat little thing.
Literally every one of Brycen's line outside of the gym are generic as fuck. They're just "I will hold them off while you investigate", "I'm fine" and so on.

Shit like Bianca having a moment with Elesa, Lenora investigating the stones, and Drayden, a major, thinking about Ghetsis speech in his city were fine.

Game Freak is shit at telling stories, yet they make it the largest focus in every new game. I just want to catch Pokemom and collect whatever mcguffins are needed to beat the game, not participate in some cringe story that only underage would consider good.
