Both of them were easy as fuck, don't really get why most players found Whitney challenging.

That Retaliate can really fuck you up. I agree with you about Whitney, though. I always thought Falkner (Mud Slap) and especially Morty to be challenging as a kid. But Whitney not that much.

Clay, on the other hand, handed me my ass five times over. Excadrill is fucking brutal.

The only battle I've ever had trouble with myself is FRLG Misty.

My most difficult gyms were original Sabrina and BW Elesa. i was heavy on grass and bug mons. aerial ace and flame charge fucked me up.

Reasons why Whitney was difficult

>Miltank's relatively high BST
>Attract high likelyhood of screwing over your starter due to 87.5% chance for male, bringing more male mons also becomes a risk
>RECOVERY MOVE
>Stomp being of decent BP but also flinch chance which given Miltank's surprisingly high speed can activate often
>Rollout may be weak in the beginning but if you can't take it down in the first three turns then you're in a world of hurt

I get it, there are counter measures and a good team can manage her, but I always hate it when people brush Whitney off given all the advantages Miltank brings to the table. HGSS even brought Scrappy, meaning female Gastly's could no longer laugh at everything besides Rollout.
