I was leaning towards Litten until I saw Incineroar, so I picked Rowlet in Sun.

This time I'm going to breed a 6iv Chimchar with egg moves, keep it in the egg, and trade it to Ultra Sun, so it can hatch in that game and I'll have the OT and trainer ID on my new file.

It depends on the available Pokemon. I'd either pick Litten or Popplio but if it's like BW2 where there's a fuck ton of older early-game Pokemon that I didn't really use in the previous games then I'll pick a fire-type/water-type from there and choose the starter with the other type.

Oh shit. For Moon I went with Incineroar and Primarina (I like it but it needs to he female and I need my starter to be male so I used it as not a starter) and for Sun Decidueye. I guess it will be the first time I won't use a starter for my first playthrough. I have also used all new 3 stages evolution lines beside Toucannon and a-Golem. They are really better give us new Alola forms.

They did however introduce new forms and new megas. I'd say some forms, like the legendaries or Lycanroc are to be expected. There also may or may not be some new alola forms, hard to tell at this point. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

Neither of them are getting USUM, so I'll probably pick Popplio, use it for a few levels, and then box it. I don't like any of the starters, but I probably like Popplio the most.

I used all 3 in my second playthrough of Sun so I might just box it in place of an imported egg.

I chose litten in moon(kept it at toracat, bred another for baracat dex entry because I don't want to hate my buddy who's been with me all adventure and I just don't think that design will ever grow on me the way embore and infernape eventually did) popplio in sun, was going to get rowlet egg off my sister but now that we're getting usm I'll pick it in whichever version I get, probably not buying both as I only do that the first of each gen so I can get my own version exclusives without having to trade with strangers or cheat my sister out of her box legendary, although I generally enjoy the second playthrough with a different team and having subsequent playthroughs without losing everything on my main game anyways so the 80$ price per gen doesn't bother me when I already spend that much on other games for just one copy+dlc.

I usually just pick Rowlet so Kukui has Incineroar, since it fits his wrestler theme. I them proceed to box it.
I don't normally use starters, unless I really like their designs.

In Moon, I used Primarina, but wasn't entirely impressed. In Sun, I boxed my starter.

In USUM, I will most likely box my starter. Only split-evolutions for starters will make me reconsider, and that seems highly unlikely.

When they were first revealed I was a Popplio guys, when their evos got revealed I was torn between Decide and Incineroar. I went with Incineroar. Now I don't like Incineroar anymore, I hate Primarina and I'm very lukewarm about Decidueye.

If don't plan on ever playing a gen 7 game again, but we will see if the Ultra games become worth a buy in the coming months (I don't expect they will).

Went with Rowlet in Moon originally because I really liked the idea of a bird Flying type starter that could possibly learn fly(decision was made before Decidueye official reveal) but then I was set for Decidueye when they said it'd be Ghost/Grass. Ghost is my favorite typing and not a single time have they disappointed me with a ghost type design/concept. This time I may stick to my beloved owl but might go Sun instead.
