I really loved the Type Expert tournament, and would love to take it on again.

It's kind of disappointing with all the unique Type-Master Trainers tied in with their Z-Crystals they didn't even try to do anything. I'm hoping they do something neat with the third version. At the very fucking least throw more of them in the battle tree to team up with you.

I agree with you but this is the first upgrded version since BW2. If they wont have anything worthwile im not sure the game will sell as good as SM which was mainly boosted by GO. This year they dont have such support so they must have some extras

I feel like PWT could be coming

SM was clearly going for something like it, but I think they kept themselves limited to only a few guys because they would have to individually model every character in the franchise so far
Hopefully the extra year of dev time of Ultra was enough to do it,

It's probably in their best interest to make 3d models of all the characters anyways just to future proof them, thats what they did to all the Pokemon themselves

I do hope they keep the tournament format, that's much more hype than just meeting at a big tree

No. You can't.
Maybe you don't realize this, but they can't just take Trainer sprites from HGSS and Platinum and slightly tweet them to appear in BW2. 3D models are way harder to make and making 50+ Gym Leaders, plus all ex-Champions is simply not humanly possible given the time frame. If you truly want a full fledged Pokemon game, as well as a PWT, you need to give GF a much larger team and a much larger time frame to work on. At least double the team and the time between releases.

So no, we're not getting a PWT. Just be thankful some characters are returning. They can just make no character returns and be done with it, and no one would care.

As for April 2016, there were only 106 employees in GameFreak. That includes everyone, from the coders to the producers like Ishihara. Not many of them are actually capable of making 3D models. Now, even among that do make 3D models, there are likely quite few of them working on the next games. Making a full fucking region, set of Pokemon and characters.

Again, this isn't sprites anymore. A skilled person can create multiple sprites in a single day. That's not true for 3D Models.

What are you talking about? Any examples of what they can use? None of the Gym Leaders from XY and SM can be used. They had those chibi models, and they didn't have in-battle full sized models like your rivals or other important character did. They just showed their character art in the battles. So they're unusable.

Besides they've made over 800 walking animation models only for it to be complteley scrapped from SM. Dont fucking tell me that making about 50+ human models would be inhumane task or pointless

They already have Mallow, Lana, Kewie, Poison Punk girl, Grimsly and Guzmia in the battle tree. Honestly if we got one type expert for every type and a few more random old champions/rivals, Id be even happy with that

Anon, they already had all the models. They just animated them. That's a far easier task. They didn't MAKE "animation models". It's not sprites, where you have to make a different model for every action. 720 Pokemon already had models, and they made 81 for SM. When you have the models ready, animating them to run is not hard. It can be done very quickly. And it's not that hard, so a lot more people can help with this. Making models is the really hard part, animating them isn't nearly as time consuming or difficult.

Anon, if you don't understand how this works, just ask about it, instead of making stupid statements. Asking will let you learn without making a fool of yourself.

Please, no Battle Tree version exclusives. That was dumb in SM.
