I honestly doubt that. They have no reason to. People loved the cutscenes. There were many of them, that was a complaint, but at the same time, they admitted to enjoying all of them. So, GF has no reason to cut the cutscenes, and there's nothing that suggests they did.

They could, however, have made the tutorial portion smaller. Maybe you don't need a 15 minutes of tutorial before you can even get a starter this time, unlike SM. That would be a reasonable conclusion to draw from seeing the starters in a route.
