Honestly, we are on a dangerous precipice already. I am a fan of cross gen evos. Not for everyone, I know. If we dont get more along the lines of Weavile, Gliscor, Crobat, etc. I hope we see more like Politoed and Slowking.

Regardless, regional forms seems like a logical way to pad the pokedex without getting the technical number of pokemon super outrageous.

I feel we should be expecting Alolan forms of Johtomons. Johto is still heavily caked in nostalgia and is still regarded by at least 75% of the existing fanbase to host the best games in the series. The VC releases of GS are hinting towards that decision, because they really could have released Gold and silver anytime between november of last year and now, but they chose specifically a month and a half before USUM.

Now I just hope certain things DO NOT get Alolan forms, like Ledian and Magcargo. I love them two, but theres no saving them with a simple type change and ability change. They would need complete revamps.
