I've been here since '97 hate sm when it's convienient and when compared to other games I like and I am super hype but also am very good at repressing my feelings and so I act like I'm not.

I liked them
I'm pretty excited yeah. Sun and Moon was the only game I had to look forward too last year whereas this year there's some other games I can spread my hype across, but I'm pretty pumped.
Also reddit is a garbage website and I don't understand how people use it, the comment formatting is atrocious.

I thought they were okay, but the worst Pokemon games since Diamond/Pearl. And the changes the gen 6 and 7 games made don't exactly make me feel confident for the future of the series.

Not really. If Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon have enough differences between Sun/Moon, rather than just being a director's cut like Yellow/Crystal/Emerald/Platinum, then I might give it a try (after all I already have the console). Although honestly I'd much rather they didn't release a Pokemon game this year and focus on making the next games more polished. Unless this actually ends up being a substantial addition to the series (like BW2) then I really don't see the point in them making this game.

Fuck I'm getting old. Although to be honest, the quality of /vp/ really declined in about 2014. But that's probably more down to events like the fappening and gamergate attracting a lot of newcomers to the site rather than any fault of the newer games. And the recent presidential elections attracting the /r/donald crowd just made things exponentially worse. This whole site has gotten noticeably worse, not just /vp/.
