The walking animations re probably gonna be used for battles though. Now the mons will run up to each other and attack, instead of motionlessly flopping around.

Alolan Butterfree seemed so fucking obvious too, like come on. I was fully expecting a Bug/Psychic version. Beedrill already got some love and Butterfree just fits with Alola.

an alolan form would make alolan butterfree usable, butterfree would still be garbage. Unlike megas alolan forms do nothing for their originals.
