Sounds like it really was an error, and they're trying to avoid disappointment when USUM for Switch never happens. If it was really an unintentional leak, I doubt they'd draw attention to it by issuing a correction. They'd have just quietly taken it down.

This. It was literally a legit error (probably made due to having a template for this shit) and they shot down rumors immediately to quash disappointment. It's 3DS exclusive. If it wasn't, there'd have been no press release at all.

Yeah, it's actually smart of them to issue the correction. Otherwise we'd have been speculating about USUM for Switch for months. Better to quash it now, even if it requires issuing an "oops, we fucked up" press release.
