Which is, objetively speaking, the best possible type combination? (Including combinations that no Pokémon have)
>>32677882
Steel/Fairy?
>>32677882
Defensively, probably the type combinations with only 1 weakness, like Poison/Dark or Ghost/Dark. I'm too lazy to figure out if there's a combo without a weakness, but there probably isn't.
>>32677927
electric with levitate
>>32677927
There isn't anymore, Ghost/Dark was the only one, but Fairy changed that. Anyway, you're off base. Resists are more important than weaknesses, that's why Ghost/Dark was shit even when it had none
>>32677956
Too bad Eelektross is still shit.
Ghost/Fighting is a nice unresisted STAB combo Marshadow is going to do work once it gets released.
Wouldnt normal/ghost be really good
steel/electric has the most resistances of any time combo.
Poison/Dark with levitate assuming good stats
Electric with levitate assuming stats are good
Steel/fairy assuming the stats are good
Really anything other than Rock, Ice, or Rock/Ice.
Normal/ghost
>>32678181
normal/ghost is good with 3 immunities but it doesn't have any resists other than bug
ghost/fighting is better because normal stab is basically worthless
>>32678181
It would quite good, but it's literally just slightly better than ghost with no downside.
It's no fairy/ground or fighting/ghost
i don't get why people think electric with levitate is so good
having a lot of resistances is better than having no weaknesses.
>>32678219
>normal/ghost is good with 3 immunities but it doesn't have any resists other than bug
And poison. It has the exact same type matchups as pure ghost, but with a ghost immunity.
Ground/Fairy is really solid, Earth Power/Moonblast or EQ/Play Rough is a really strong STAB set. The Ground side possibly gives it access to stealth rock too.
>>32678281
Normal/Ghost's real value is being the only typing that checks the Ghost/Fighting combination, not only resisting it but nulling it entirely.
If it existed, a Normal/Ghost would be widely run just to check Marshadow.
The day GF makes a fast attacking water/fairy pokemon that hits hard is the day the world burns.
ground water
>>32677882
Ghost/Normal with high Defense and Justified.
>>32677882
Offense: ice/fighting or ice/ground
Defense: steel/flying
>>32678314
Huge Power Azurmaill comes close.
>>32677882
Poison/Dark w/Levitate.
Couldve got Alola-Weezing with it but no had to get that shitstain Muk
>>32678627
>not liking Alolan Muk
garbage taste, oil spill Muk is great.
>>32677882
Grass/Ice
Best coverage in the game AND you get an underused type pairing. Badass
Offensively, Electric/Ice. Make an Electric/Ice with Gengar style stats and you'll have a rape machine. Close runners up are Ice/Ground and Fighting/Ghost.
Defensively, it's Fairy/Steel. Sure, Electric with Levitate has no weakness, but Fairy/Steel has a shitload of resistances and no x4 weaknesses. Close runners up are Ground/Water and Bug/Steel.
>>32677982
What if that's all tomorrow's announcement is, releasing Marshadow
>>32677882
Offensively maybe ice/rock, assuming it would be fast.
For defensive fairy/steel and normal/ghost would be good.
>>32679319
>ice/rock
>fast
>>32679442
>that filename tho
My Y party is Blaziken, Garchomp, Drapion, Hydreigion and Serperior. I cant decide on the 6th.
recommendations?
im about to fight the last gym leader
>>32677956
>.... HAS NO WEAKNESS
fast frail special attacking ice/electric has the best offense
tanky normal/ghost has 1 weakness and 3 immunities, opposed to steel/fairy 2 weaknesses and 2 immunities
>>32679535
consider the following:
blaziken, garchomp, crobat, malamar, azumarill, magnezone
>>32678288
This, Ground/Fairy hands down
steel/ghost
>>32679876
they had to nerf steel type just so aegislash wasnt as broken, and its still ubers
>>32677962
inb4 Spiritomb
>>32677882
>still waiting for sap sipper water/ground
>>32677882
All contextual. The best general can't fuck it up typing is steel/fairy, that's good offensively and even better defensively. Steel/Flying is a close second.
>>32679700
>fast frail special attacking ice/electric has the best offense
ice/ground is far far better. Especially if it has mold breaker.
