Look, we get at least one new cat and dog in almost every generation. It makes sense because of house close they are to humans, and how many different kinds there are. The cats and dogs will keep coming.


Even the young cheetahs are perfect for Pokémon, because they have messy hair. It makes you think of static electricity, and also young hyperactive boys who run around all the time.
I'd like to think a cheetah would have the highest base Speed stat of all pokémon to date, in exchange for being extremely frail. Like 230 Speed. Just go overboard with it.

Made a quick concept.
It is slightly slower than zebstrika so it mimics its coloration to take advantage of its poor eyesight as it closes in on its prey you can watch it's heartbeat begin to race from the traces of static electricity that begins to charge up as it chases it's prey

I actually had a concept come to mind recently for a Fire type cheetah that hunts by using the friction from its high speed running to start fires. It would then pick off its prey as they try to escape from the flames.

The problem with Cheetas is they doesn't have big claws and jaws, they are very weak asides they can run very fast. They can't even defense itself from predators

Also I just did the calcs. With a speed stat that high, you could run the cheetah with a neutral nature and no speed investments, and still outspeed everything in the game. (Except max-Speed speed form Deoxys, but only by four points.) Though I assume you'd have to watch out for Choice Scarf runners and Speed Boosters or whatever.
