Remakes are redundant. Rather than continuously trying something new and creating improvements with the same engine per gen, Game Freak decides to give players the same exact thing that existed before, but with a different skin.

>No one has dumped the Dawn Battle Revolution models yet
>the exact same thing with a different skin
In all three examples you're dead wrong and all the games that solely give a new experience are bottom tier in the series anyways.

>Remakes are redundant.
Yup. Too bad remakefags and sinnohfetuses will never understand this.
After sinnoh remakes are done unless they start from gen 1 again. No one buying unova or kalos remakes
These threads are redundant. Rather than continuously posting something new and creating improvements in the board, autistic OP decides to give /vp/ the exact same thread he posted before, but with a different skin.

>FRLG
Red and Green/Blue with Gen III mechanics. Adds the Fame Checker, Leaf, Running Shoes (which were pointless in Gen III since you couldn't run indoors), double battle trainers and VS. Seeker. Before beating the Elite Four, a small Sevii Island sidequest was added. Pokemon outside of the original 151 could not be captured until you've completed the game and registered 60 different Pokemon species. Postgame content added in the form of the rest of the Sevii Islands.
>HGSS
Pokemon Gold and Silver with Gen IV's mechanics. Adds a new Safari Zone, Running Shoes, double battle trainers, more convenient calling system, Pokeathlon, and a few side modes and gimmicks, like walking Pokemon and the shiny crown. Yanmega and Mamoswine are incorporated into the Johto dex, and new Pokemon can be traded to you before completing the Elite Four. Adds postgame content and reuses some of Platinum's features.
>ORAS
RS with Gen VI's mechanics. Adds Dexnav, getting both bikes, and soaring. Adds postgame content that was not in RS.
All of these are essentially bringing the original games into newer generations, and adding content that is on par with what third versions usually do, or should have been included from the start.

I blame Hoennbabies for the Sinnohfetuses crying for a new game. They saw it happen for years and now they're mimicking it until they get their remake too. Then they'll cry about how GF made their precious region shit. I honestly think they made ORAS shit on purpose and only made it to shut people up. Why else would they put a teaser for the BF in it? I wonder if the Sinnoh remakes will have a teaser of some kind too or if they'll just make them even slower than DP somehow

>All of these are essentially bringing the original games into newer generations,
And that changes them substantially. They're also all much better games than any start of a generation.
DPPt doesn't really have a need for one though, IV's mechanics are good enough and Platinum is already good otherwise because it isn't the start of a generation and actually has care put into the game instead of focusing on the foundation. After another RGBY remake there isn't a need to go back to remakes, unless they do another notable mechanic shakeup in which case all the games could use them, though third versions and sequels should still be done at that point as they're clearly desperately needed to make the games not shit.

>Game Freak decides to give players the same exact thing that existed before, but with a different skin.
That describes literally every mainline Pokemon game ever. The reason people pine for remakes is because every new thing Game Freak creates is worse than the last and they're more likely to produce something better if they try revisiting an older piece of work rather than trying to create something "new".

>And that changes them substantially.
Not really.
