I prefer Focus Sash Quiver Dance Compoundeyes Hurricane with Vivillon for "okay in battle Bug-types". And if it's for Unova in-game I'd rather use Leavanny.

That's really its only viable niche as an Electric type in OU, it's relegated to basically a suicide lead and can't be played in an offensive capacity because it's outclassed by Tapu Koko.

This guy is the shit. I use one with a sash on my mono bug team and it is a god send against bulky water types. Also no ever seems to expect sucker punch, really useful if the oponent is on red and you think they have priority.

That is simply it and all there is to it.

It has a really shitty base stat total of just 472 and has 77 of that completely wasted in an Atk stat it'll never use. To put it into perspective Magneton an NFE has 465 BST and Furfrou a shitty no evo gimmickmon has 472.

93 S.atk and 108 speed are both barely usable but still come short of important benchmarks.

And now in GF's infinite wisdom of bad game design introduce Tapu Koko who basically renders almost every Elec type in the game pointless because of how badly it outclasses them.

Galvantula doesn't provide the utility other eletric types. Sticky web works best on HO and there are better sticky Web leads then Galvantula. It's definitely not ou but it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to seem. People forgets how good bug electric is in this Meta game. It's not even that weak thanks to compoundeyes allowing it to run thunder. I think it's all the terrible players that love to run it is why it has such a bad reputation.
