It was nothing more than mini games, but they were fun minigames that your pokemon actually had separate stats for. It was nice for some of my in-game shitmons to be really good at a sport and the mini games were actually a little bit enjoyable, plus you got rewarded for them.

I'll never be able to enjoy the shitty barebones minigames we got in amie after experiencing better and more engaging minigames in previous generations.

Battle Frontier. I seem like one of the few people that doesn't hate Maison, but I still liked the multiple facilities of the Battle Frontier. It would've made more sense to introduce a new facility with each generation IMO.

Also, Gen V playing the pokemon theme whenever a gym leader was on their last pokemon.

Battle Factory, the tower formula of winning a streak sucks in pokemon, at least the factory adds changing team into the mix making it feel that you lost because of a bad pokemon selection instead of a random miss/crit. Also an alternative way of winning BP.

Adding on to this, I liked the gen 3 frontier way more. The gimmicks were more radical. The HgSsPt one was fun, but just twists on battle tower. In emerald you can fight through a mixture of pokemon trainers and wild mons in the darkness and in the next facility you can go through a tourney to fight a crossdresser. Can we bring that frontier back?

I want to earn the ability to explore, not be handed it when they decide they want me to continue along the linear path.

A better solution is for there to be a HM slot on each Pokémon that can't be used in battle but can be used in the field.
