In older generations, a Pokemon's colour palette was just shifted a few colours across. It's why the majority of blue Pokemon are purple/pink when shiny. Take a look at Swampert, Quagsire, Lapras, one Wailord. They're all roughly the same colour.

Green slime Muk is awesome though.

I thought that a neat touch. But most shinies look like actual cancer, it's a wonder why people would purposely put them on their team.

The problem isn't that the shinies are green, it's that they pick such awful shades for most of them. So many are either yellow-green or green-brown and the color itself just looks disgusting.

I don't think a shiny to be green, but it has to have a good palette.

Pidgey line, ratata, spearow, chansey and some other that are only the regular colors with a greenish tone are shit.

Tangela, Salamence, Deino line and Zubat line are ok.
