Nearly every pokemon I catch I prefer to be male. Unless it looks feminine (and I do mean that, I don't want Female Muk or Pidgoet or Tropius or something).

Yes mainly "waifu"/cute mons I'd like them to be female depending on whom they are such as Ribombee it's a cute bug thus female. Pinsir is a bromon so he's a male so on and so forth.

I go for females 100% of the time unless it's an obviously effeminate pokemon. Misdreavus is an example of when a male pokemon would be acceptable but I would probably still prefer female.
