Just like Incineroar before it, Primarina 150 cucked me out of two jewels. Board started with a five match Angrychu. Didn't proc. None of the four matches proc'd. Virizion's Po4+ lv3 didn't proc the first two times, I think I only got 1 or 2 off the whole time. I did get one 5 match Superbolt, but it wasn't enough. Another Angrychu five match appeared after the first jewel was spent, but no dice, it didn't proc. Disruptions showed up putting individual blocks in the way of two M-TTar three matches, the only ones on the board in a mess of disruptions. Made one TTar match after spending the 2nd jewel and skyfall killed the bitch. I made it through, but at a heavy cost. To the cat I now go...

If you have heavily invested on some mons against Water you can do 140 without C-1. I had to use C-1 due to not having those and barely won with 2 moves. In conclusion, go for 130 if you want as it isn't that expensive but if you're really bent on taking 140 be prepared for a hell of a ride.

Did full item run on Incineroar and got just 14k with the absolutely worst run imaginable, no procs, bad board, bad luck, absolute waste of coins. This puts me in tier 5 I think, so by the end of the comp I'll hopefully be eligible for tier 7 ;_;

It's really worth it if you have the MSU to spare. At the old max, it was considered to be one of the faster evolving megas. Then powercreep made it feel slow again. Now it's back to super fast with the new cap, it's really nice for weekend meowth. I maxed it as soon as I could and I've never regretted it.

Yup, you heard it right. I made this same complaint last competition and another shuffler here said he was in the same boat too. I'm a day one player and used to always be in either the top tier or the 2nd highest prize tier. Then ever since they started handing out tons of enhancements and subdividing the tiers more and more, I'm getting stuck in tier 5 or so. I remember when being in the top 1300 was considered top tier, now there are four tiers above that. Hell, they just made the cutoff for tier 2 on this competition 100 places smaller than last time. Tier one will one day be top 50, mark my words. I'll probably get bumped into tier 6 by the time this one ends, despite having a team of level 10+ mons, some of them SL5, like I usually do and that'll be another 1 RML. Have I mentioned I'm pretty unlucky? I can still fully clear all escalations though, so I depend on those to get my enhancements. Not that I have time to use those RMLs anyway.

I don't think it's a matter of figuring things out, I usually ended up in the low 1000s, sometimes triple digits and the rare double digits, it's just that that doesn't count as the top anymore, it's tier 4/5 now. Combined with things getting more competitive over the much better rewards these days (getting 1 RML used to be the top prize) and I'm pushed down a bit farther than I used to be. I usually see people in these threads with teams of mons (sometimes the exact same team) that have lower experience and skill levels than mine doing much better, RNG is a cruel mistress. Even with Mobile Slowdown and Perfect Ashfrog 5 matches it took a good dozen hearts till SCP got it over ~75%. Three great balls later and it was mine. Like really... I finished with around 9-12 seconds each time and got a alola-like-meme catchrate.
