It would be handy for the easy source of HA Ho-oh and Lugia. I had to get mine edited to have decent natures and I.V's since Dream Radar doesn't let you reset so the VC release would let me get legit ones.

Does gen 2 save the ball your mons are in? Level ball regenerator Ho-oh would be neat.

I was mostly interested in it for more interesting unique movesets that were made unavailable going from Gen 2 to Gen 3.

I still want to hope for a Stadium 2 VC for Switch with RBY/GSC VC compability + WiFi. But some pipe dreams are gonna stay just that. It was actually a fucking better Poke Bank with the ability to store Items, TMs, and Pokemon with a god damn Fast Forward function so you could play through the games without losing anything.

You're at the whim of the previous owner and the retailer. If those people decided to update the thing, you'll be out of luck. Thankfully in those situations you can just ask to inspect the unit before you buy. Check the firmware in system settings, if it's 11.4 just make up some BS reason you don't want THIS unit.

Not that anon but I have the N3DS stuck on 11.4 because hell I didn't even know about this until recently and now I'm fucked anyways I've seen some tutorials on being able to install and run homebrew through cubic ninja and some other dumb shovelware game, both I could only find them for $80 but wasn't worth even spending that much at the time when I can likely wait not to long for it to be hacked on 11.4 I mean it's gonna happen eventually I think I have enough games to get me through till then.

Really wishing I could inject pokemon though. Good to know this info in case I ever change my mind.

Never use video guides for 3ds hack stuff. Ever.
To hack a system on 11.3 or lower, you don't need special hardware or any game cartridges. Just the 3DS and a 4GB (micro if New 3DS) SD card.
http://3ds.guide has all the information and downloads and has a braindead easy guide. Once you do that, install FreeShop and give it the QR at the 3DS Title Key Database, this will allow you to pirate anything from the eshop directly from Nintendo's servers.

I have no reason to care because I hacked my 3DS and can play the injected version with proper wireless connectivity. It's literally the same as what you would get from an official one because there's no way Game Freak would bother enabling the online capabilities of Japanese Crystal in the western games.

Why would you want Sinnoh remakes? Sinnoh is a great region but I don't want Game Freak to fucking touch it after what they did to Hoenn. Sinnoh has a lot more "problematic" areas that Game Freak would want to casualize, and there'd probably be no Platinum content.
Even if you thought they'd learn from their mistakes, why would you want them to do a Sinnoh remake with only one year of dev time? Why wouldn't you ask for two years to increase the chance that they wouldn't rush the thing?

Then I'm not sure what you're asking for, if you aren't interested in Stars or Sinnoh remakes. Either way I definitely want a two-year gap between SM and whatever comes next, like the gap between DP and Platinum. They could presumably work on both the third version and remake during that time and release the second game they're working on a year after the first one.

This is speculation on what the next games will be coming out, not what I want. It's too early for a follow up to the current region, and the last games to be between gap years were Diamond and Pearl. If not Sinnoh remakes, we may get Kanto sequels what with all of the references and call backs we got in Sun and Moon.
