I know, anon! It would be my favorite three-stage fire pokémon if it were a regular evo. Houndoom by itself is a really underwhelming mon. The mega improves in so many aspects, specially the looks.

I would've liked Dark Aura. I know the ability technically belongs to Yveltal, but that didn't stop Politoed and Ninetails and later a few others from stealing Groudon and Kyogre's signature abilities.

I don't think the translation team would use the word "death" for any reason ever tho. Look at oblivion wing, its jap name is "death wing", but death is too dark for kids overseas apparently.

Instead of houndeath they'd probably name it something like houndevil

Mega Houndoom is one of my favorite pokemon design, I wish it were better in competitive.
