That's the only humor SM really has. The only time I chuckled watching SM was when Rotom thought Litten in a shame collar was a Heliolisk.
And every single big post about how funny SM is is just a list of funny faces. There's no substance at best, and it's annoying at worst. Granted I think most of the Pokemon anime sucks and isn't funny, but this is way more obnoxious than previous seasons.

XY fans are angry because.
Despite the fact that many XY fans "shilled" the new season to a wider anime audience, they didn't really gather that much attention. Then when the show had a bad ending, they felt robbed.

Finally Sun and Moon anime starts and the anime community starts calling it beautiful and it begins to pick up a lot more steam compared to the XY anime.
