Who knows. Pokemon lore is one giant tease, having a fuckton of events and stories that are difficult to explain or tie together. It's 'obvious' that Ho-Oh and the Unown have some connection, as it's 'obvious' Arceus and the Unown have one too. It's anyone's game what any of this means, though.

Why have I never seen anyone mention this before?! Even back when we had daily lore generals nobody ever fucking mentioned this. Arceus and Unown was mentioned literally all the fucking time, but this? Never.

And then the anime went in another direction tying Entei to the Unown. (Tho iirc that Entei wasn't real? It's been ages since I saw the movies)

Unknown are the leftovers/witnesses of creation, with arceus being the prime mover for gen 4 and ho-oh infusing life/reincarnating dead mons in gen 2. Maybe also a pun with needing language to create things (in the beginning there was the Word, and the word was god). Weren't the unknown from the entei movie still able to create stuff based on faith?

Unowns are linked to Arceus. They may have been its creation, or were born at the same time, or might have been there before it. Some theorize they make up the very fundations of the Pokémon universe, as if their Psychic power actually was creating the world around them and making it more complex the more Unowns there are. Wasn't it shown in the Entei movie that a bunch of Unowns together could alter the laws of space and time with their Psychic powers?
Either way, it's clear they're attracted to legendaries in general.

Arceus is only ever mentioned by three NPCs: Cynthia, the Hiker and the Scientist at the Ruins of Alph.
The people who used to live together with the Unown are all dead.
Sinjoh is between Sinnoh and Jotho. It‘s exact location i unknown.
Sinjoh is a place where people frrom both Sinnoh and Jotho gathered to worship Arceus.
Arceus is long forgotten, but Dialga and Palkia are still worshipped in the Sinnoh region and mentioned a few times.
Arceus must have at least once created Dialga, Palkia or Giratina whith humans watching it.
We don‘t know if Arceus is native to Sinnoh. It might have left Sinjoh for the Spear Pillar for reasons unknown.
The Mystri stage might be the key to Arceus‘s full power and might the place where it hatched from an egg.
It „sleeping“ is potentially a metaphor forr being in a state where it doesn‘t have access to all of it‘s power.

I remember being told that if you caught all the Unown forms in G/S, that Suicune assuming it isn't caught would "follow" the player, so any route the player was in, Suicune would be too until it was defeated or caught.

Feel free to confirm or deny this.
