Parallels are cool and all but too bad in the narrative of the game series itself you never really see any Pokemon abuse except by the evil teams who would just keep their Pokemon anyways because they view them like tools anyways, with Plasma itself in BW1 being the most egregious example with the infamous Munna episode.

It's a shame the anime fucked up handling Plasma so much because it's had several actual examples of abuse and the sorts of things mentioned in the OP throughout its run.
