ITT
Post Pokémon you hate. Could be because of design, stats, personal experiences, etc.
Fuck these monkeys. They're bad, they look bad and should feel bad.

So what's up with these guys, anyway? Are they supposed to be famous musicians?
Simisage is Elvis, the others....?
>>32508874
The base forms are supposed to be the Three Wise Monkeys
>>32508860

ITT a parrot learns to type
This overshilled fuck
>>32508880
See now, the elemental monkeys WERE a cool idea. But their designs are not great. The three wise monkey thing is there but it's not obvious and they don't do anything with it. Squandered potential for some cool pokémon, really.
Also I would like it if they didn't take up 6 dex spaces. Just have ONE monkey and its pre-evolution, and give them three forms.

Sry anons, didn't mean to hurt ur feelings. Maybe in the future ur shit monkeys will get a better ability or a mega

They are also almost identical in their first stage (kids) but clearly develop different personalities and styles when they evolve (teenagers/adults).
Also going by the gym that uses them they are also themed after making tea (leaves to give it taste, water, and fire to boil it). I think that's a brilliant way to apply the three starter types toguether.

I'm sorry that you literally parrot everything you see on this board like it's a revelation
Why don't you give us another 'gen VI is awful'
>>32509012
But gen VI wasn't awful
>>32508927
Why add unnecessary gimmicks to these mons? I like Pansage and Simisage but I'm not really a fan of the other two lines. No reason to combine them like that.
And this goes with other mons that have crazy form changes, like Oricorio. Why not have four different birds? Now you just have one bird that suffers from having to share four identities.

I don't like the monkeys either but I actually like Gen VI.
The concept behind them is great (Three Wise Monkeys, starter types), but the designs are lacking. I have edited them, though, to designs more to my liking...which has helped me like them more overall.

They also represent japanese culture stereotypes. I remember an anon explained Simisage is a bancho, Simisear is a biker, and I forget what Simipour is.
>>32508860
Simisage isn't that bad.
The genies can go eat a dick though
>>32509195
>Simisear is a biker
Now this is surprising. I always imagined him as a friendly cook, and Simisage as a biker.
Now I wonder if Simipour is supposed to be some kind of delinquent because he sure looks the friendliest.

>>32510261
Simisage is a Yankii, actually. I think. Someone said Simipour is a Kogal, AKA some Japanese chicks obsessed with materialism like jewelry and exploitation.
>>32510261
This was the trainer representative of Simipour shown in BW071-072. Her brothers also represent Simisage and Simisear.

wtf I love the monkeys now
Something that baffles me about Gen 5 is that despite the region being directly based on the USA, a lot of the themes going on with the pokemon and the lore seem to be very japanese, more than in other entries, to the point that it flies over western heads.
Conkeldurr for example, I read it's based on a samurai, but not in an obvious way we often see in movies and cartoons. Meanwhile its original counterpart Machamp is a weightlifter and a wrestler, far more recognizable worldwide.
It's too bad that the gen's reception may have suffered from this cultural barrier. The pokemon from it are so full of personality and I love them.

There's even more themes present within the monkeys that nobody ever seems to touch on.
Simisage's body is meant to be a tree sprouting out from the ground and an allusion to the legends of monkey trees.
Simisear's body is a volcano fueled by the sweets it eats and the jags surrounding its waist are meant to represent the eruption of it, with the fluffy ruffs are symbolic of the ash clouds created due to an eruption.
Simipour's tail and hair are simply wishing fountains and the pattern on its chest either a geyser erupting upwards a waterfall splashing down into water.
>>32508860
They're better monkey Pokemon than Ambipom at least.
>>32510761
Most of the monkeys look awful. I can't for the life of me understand how GF managed to do this. Monkeys are awesome how do you fuck that up?
>>32510761
TRU DAT.
Goodra
It is the only pokemon I honestly scorn. AllI wanted was for it to be like pic related, instead we got was a shitty dragonite clone.
>>32510904
This is pretty terrible to be honest.
>>32510904
At least_hebecame a meme.
>Not liking hot monky dik
>>32510913
Only flaw is it has legs. That one but without legs would be probably my favorite pokemon.
Reminder that simipours eyes are not closed
I honestly can't say I hate any pokemon. At worst I forget they exist.
>>32512646
Same with me.
>>32509076
post them
>>32508860
Absol's slow and frail
>>32512728
Fuck Lucario i hate everything about it
i don't hate breloom but i think it doesn't deserve that 130 base attack. he can choke on a dick
I wouldn't mind these niggers if BW didn't force-feed them to you early on
