You don't need 12 energy in a deck where you are aiming to use the 1 energy attack. I'd cut it back to 8 or 9 and add consistency cards. Fisherman is probably outclassed by Energy Retrieval but it's debatable.

The overpricing that's going on with lel right now is crazy. People asking for 25 packs is around 10 more than what people were asking for Shaymin when it came out. You can make the argument that lel might be better than Shaymin, but lel is unarguably a less impactful card on the format when compared to Shaymin. There's a good chance lel won't even be the go-to consistency card until September.

yeah it takes a turn or two to get into it, you don't come out swinging hard like a Volc or a Darkrai deck. In an ideal game you start with Eevee active and immediately evolve. Strafe back to Tauros or something with a balloon on. Don't be afraid to use Zorua's confusion attack if necessary. Make the opponent have to make tough decisions including the underlying bench-fill while you have Zoroark prepping to pounce.
Probably a few cards in GUR that could improve it too. Choice Band might up the damage and change some of the Umbreon tactics. It's a solid deck for sure. Like Tier 3 in my head. Has no horrific match-ups except fighting obviously.

PTCG is easy as piss mechanically, and the card pool is very limited and thus so is the meta, so those two things should be understood. Anyone unfamiliar with random erratas (Electrode EVO, Galvantula STS), unfamiliar with effect interactions (Bursting Balloon vs Sky Return), or unfamiliar with card values shouldn't be considered an expert though. Also, I wouldn't demand an expert to know things a professor would, particularly, penalties and resolutions for individual games.

Tauros works just fine. They're not going to attack it unless they can one shot it and to get enough energy for that quickly, they're gonna have to use something like Max Elixir. Well here's a pic of my Hot Sexy Baracat deck.
Basically the point of it is to dump your Fire energies in your discard pile through Scorched Earth so that Volcanion can use Power Heater to charge your benched Incineroars.

it's not a very good card. 50 for CC is a little below curve, and a one-off Damage change is decent, but there are much better GX attacks to build around. If Blizzard edge discarded one instead of two it could be viable, but as it stands, that's just too much of a detriment to be toppest tier.
I mean you can still build a deck around it and do just fine on the ladder, but you won't see it topping tournaments any time soon.

honestly garb is less cancerous than fogp item lock which is heavily reliant on coin flips like shiftry was.

the main difference of course was that shiftry could just end the game without playing on t1 while a vileplume item lock has to actually play the game out, but I'd guess that WR for vileplume/decidueye decks that establish a first move t1 lock is about 95% My expanded Lurantis lock deck has about a 70% first turn lock rate and I have literally never lost a game with a turn 1 lock.

if you oneshot it has an effective hp of 190 that's not too hard to achieve
if you are two shotting it it has 250 effective HP thats better but still achievable by most current decks even when they aren't red
in return its a stage 1 with a 2 turn energy cost of only 150 damage or even less against non EX GX
you have no control over the stadium in your opponents turn and he can always hex
this card would be very unrewarding to build around
most stage 1 GX cards have better hp values
the only reason to ever play it is because that umbreon only deals 180 since choiceband doesn't trigger (but then you don't even win the trade consistently so what's the point?)

Okay here's my deck. Issues are any decks that use BREAK I can't hit for enough damage to win easily. Lack of Shaymins because I'm poor and I could use a second Vileplume to make the item lock more consistent. Combine the band and Kukui and you hit EX/GX for 200 and while its not a OHKO its nothing to laugh about.
