>quickly get bored with tutorial and pick up some other game

>pick up where I left off and play for about 4 hours

>last night I picked up the game and beat the first trial

does this game get better? is this the worst tutorial in a pokemon game to date? did I finally outgrow pokemon? idk what it is but I can't seem to get interested with Moon the same way I did with every other major pokemon i've played since childhood

Just suck it up and force yourself through the tutorial. The game picks up once you get to the second island.

I'm with you OP. It feels like a chore to play, even after reaching the second island. Maybe it's just how slow the game is due the cutscenes that really makes it hard to get through.
I am gonna try to play again tonight after months of waiting though. I have never let a game go unfinished and I don't want to start now.
