Poison could be run in gen 5 OU pretty effectively because of how rare Psychic was, but Mega Evolution introduced too many wallbreakers for it to work anymore.

I personally use bug the most. It's very viable with a lot of mons and playstyles you can run. I focus mainly on hazards, so my team is Volcarona/Heracross/Forretress/M-pinsir/Scizor/Galvantula. All in all I believe it's a very rewarding team that can take on a lot of different types.

I believe it's one of the top tier types but I could be wrong.
