I wouldn't even mind, at least so long as the translators keep doing a good job of making them somewhat charming and funny. I played Sun in Japanese and Jap Rotom dex is boring as fuck.

It was. It's just that the Japanese writers idea of him being entertaining was giving generic advice with "ro" or "roto" at the end of his sentences. The only real comedic thing he said was when he say the female Aether grunt is his type, and even that was better in English. Anything else comedic or with any sort of personality he says in the English version was written by the translators.
