Sure, it and it's evolution are made of "literal trash," but they're in no way miserable/unhappy.
They live a happy and unburdened life because they know that as long as human beings prosper, they will prosper, and they will always prosper since human civilization is directly responsible for their existence.
Humans will never stop producing garbage and pollution, and Poison types like Garbodor and Muk will continue to benefit from this fact.
In the end, the only thing that would make a Trubbish miserable is that most humans find them disgusting.
