That would only be a problem if you're poor and don't like playing other games.

I buy consoles for more than one game, I bought a Switch for portable Zelda and Mario kart, splatoon, xenoblade 2, dynasty warriors firm edition, Mario odyssey, fire emblem placeholder name tm, shin megami tensei 5. Honorable mentions are no more heroes 3 and whatever f t omega software is cooking up (or porting) and whatever rise we I'll be announced in the future, potential pokemon would be nice and will happen eventually but I don't see the next main title being on the switch.

As a switch owner, I'm having a lot of fun with it. Never been a big Zelda fan but holy shit botw is fun as fuck. It's my favourite game atm. It really sucks since pokemon is my favorite franchise but I doubt it will ever be good enough to make it to my favourite game. The closest game to that spot is Explorers of Sky.

I haven't bought my Switch just for Zelda, though. I bought my Switch to have the best Zelda experience, have it playable at launch, have it portable, and because I'm interested in literally everything that's coming out next. Splatoon 2, Arms and Mario especially.

I payed 150$ for a N3DS just to play SM. I think I got my money's worth but I feel dissapointed. I'll feel better once I get to playing XY and ORAS. I've played a little of XY but stopped.

Another pokemon game on the 3ds will make it a much better investment. It might be greedy but I would like a third version of SM and another main pokemon game. Either a remake or a whole new game doesn't matter.

Sadly i didn't buy the switch, not because i haven't enough money, it's because when Xenobladoblade 2 was announced....buff , seriously, they're trying to transform the games in another anime waifushit???? First FE, now this, i'm ded. I can't have the console where my second favourite franchise will die (at least, for me).
SM was good for me, i like the story, monster designs and the game overall, Botw (i have a wii u) is fucking fanrastic and Mario, is Mario. Finally i know why this three will be forever and ever the head of the company.

My simply point is the change of character designer, Masatsugu Saito who only did in the past generic anime shit, and yes Xenoblade ever had an anime artstyle but at least the generic was less visible, the new artstyle give me the impression that i will be less connected with the characters. Is like play a Tales game. I have fear, probably i'm stupid and the character designs nothing have in conmon with a change of target (the otaku one) but who knows...
