It's not about being nostalgic or not, now and then.
It's about having actual good taste or being a retard with shit taste. Gen 4 fans belong to the first category, while detractors belong in the second category as the uneducated retards who don't know shit as they are.

And yeah, considering, looking at what we good after the DS era, that those who hate gen 4 are the cancer who killed the franchise, I disdain them.

The same 9gag retarded meme "in 20 years people will say Justin bieber music is good" , go kill yourself

Hoennbabbies? Yeah I agree
Pokémon Platinum wasthe game that introduced me to the game side franchise when I was like 10 and I've been a hardcore fan ever since. My favorite Pokémon game has changed back and forth with the years, but at the moment it's hands down Platinum and it's not out of nostalgiafagging but out of actually replaying all of the games multiple times over the years and drawing conclusions. Platinum is a blast, and along with HeartGold and SoulSilver make Gen 4 my favorite gen, I'd love to say I have the objective reason and better taste but I really hate pushing my tastes down other people's throats, that and the fact that I love almost every other game keep me from posting on genwar threads and the like. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but yeah Gen 4 is fucking amazingand only newfags or mega-nostalgiafags would disagree.
Gen IV was a mistake

I could never enjoy the Sinnoh games for some reason, not even Platinum. I'm honestly not sure why. And while I did like HGSS a lot, I still prefer the originals more.
Diamond and pearl were both unholy abominations that nearly destroyed generation 4 if HGSS aka my favorite game and best remake hadn't saved the generation. Sinnoh was a fuck up of a region, and deserves every shred of negativity and criticism it receive, these atrocities don't even derserve to be called Pokemon games, they are more like 2D torcher chambers that somehow didn't destroy Pokemon as a whole

I have mixed feelings with that generation.
It wasn't particulary memorable per se, but i have my best memories of Pokemon playing Platinum and Heart Gold.
