Nuzlocke thread: Post your favorite nuzlocke stories/teams/etc.
Also do you guys mind judging my team? I don't plan on changing anyone (I'm aware changing for dustox would be a good idea but ehh, too lazy to train more). What moves and items should I adjust, if any?
Nickname is Supernova
Also I'm sleep deprived as fuck so after I post these I'm gonna knock out for a few hrs
Also none of their hidden powers are worth it, unfortunately
Also had swampert and electrode for most of the game but they died right before the 7th gym leader

I'm kindly going to ask what the fuck does "nuzlocke" means and why people seem so angry about it.
Yes, I've started using /vp/ recently.

It's a shitty fan-made gamemode where your pokemons "die" for real

Seems pretty good to me. I'd swap Tentacruel for Machop if I were doing it though. Fighting types are super good for ORAS e4.
I'm most of the way through a Pokemon Sun nuzlocke (just made it to the 4th island) and I think I'm about to lose interest. I only have two appropriately leveled Pokemon left and I don't really want to grind up 2-3 more Pokemon. That sudden level jump when you fight Guzma for the third time is savage though. Actually felt rewarding beating him and Lusamine blind. Currently have a Slowbro and a Decidueye.

Sounds autistic, thanks for the answer tho.

The Slaking seems like a bit of a gamble to pull off well if you're doing set instead of switch, but it seems to be working pretty well if it's survived this long.
>>32355254
It can be a bit autistic, but it's a way to introduce challenge back into the series for veteran players, especially since the new games seem to be taking it relatively easy on players.
>>32355269
Actually, why is that?
Last Pokemon game I played before SM was Pokemon Stadium in 2002ish, and I got my ass handed to me in a silver plate.
I blazed through without knowledge of most type advantages/dissadvantages or EVs/IVs, and only lost once.
Shouldn't they atleast give it a lazy fix and level pokemon 10+ the zone's actual level.
>>32355289
difficulty =/= higher levels
higher levels = grinding
grinding = boring
>>32355316
They definitely have to do something about how easy it is to beat the game.
Trainers had 4 pokemon until the 4th island, most players have 6 in the first one.
>>32355190
You can only catch the first pokemon you meet in every route and if a pokemon faints you cannot use it anymore. Most people also change it to set disable exp share and don't use items.
They always feel like a large part luck but I like them.
>>32355385
i think difficulty can be enhanced by:
>giving trainer items, z crystals or mega stones
>increase the AI
that would be my way of increasing the difficulty, like i said again, increasing the levels just makes the game a tedious grindfest
>>32355190
>>32355254
It's fun and stressful as fuck though
>>32355232
My slaking knows hammer arm, do you think that's good enough? Tentacool has been a bro this whole game
>>32355259
It's on switch since nuzlockes are hard. I know there's people who think I'm autistic for having it on switch, but I want to have fun with my nuzlocke. For more challenge, I don't use legends or mega stones
I wanted to make a XY run with a couple of mons i always wanted to use, after hours of breeding, i found out pokebank wont let mons available in XY but original to SM aren't transferable.
Mareep, Treevenant, Trapinch, Beldum, Lapras and Zorua are a distant fantasy now....
I recently completed a White Randomized Nuzlocke. Around the time I finishing the game, I had Hippaeux (Hippowdon), Whitney (Miltank), Foxtail (Leafeon), Sir Knight (Gardevoir), Beach Ball (Azumarill) and Cool Dude (Beartic). I also had Rose (Ferrothorn), who was really amazing at battling, but she died from a critical hit while battling the Elite Four and had to be quickly replaced by Foxtail. Everybody in my team was really fun to use, though.
I'm now doing a White 2 Randomized Nuzlocke, but I'm not having much luck with it. The starters I had to choose between were Sentret, Furret and Exploud, and all of the Pokemon I have caught aren't fully evolved, which makes training hard.
Playing pokemon Theta Emerald EX
In Rustboro city
I got a good team for rock types but I'm fucked if I face an electric type.
Just finished a Lickilicky Sololocke on Platinum earlier tonight. Cynthia almost got me twice (Critical Aura Sphere on Lucario brought me to, like, 20 HP, and crit EQ from Garchomp brought me to 50) but I pulled through. Feeling good. A nice way to end a night.
if anybody is interested...

Wtf why not? I was able to transfer mine from XY to SM just fine.

Sick team
>>32356196
Evolve mudkip to fuck up elec types
>>32356411
Nice nice, good Pokémon to sololock. I would've done Porygon Z
>>32355939
Until I gained more experience with nuzlocking, I started off with the battle style on switch rather than set. So until you're more confident with nuzlockes, I personally recommend you stay on switch.

To be fair, Sun and Moon are harder to run than any other game since BW2. The Z moves, even on ordinary trainers, pack a punch and Totems often depend on what Pokemon you're actually using. Major bosses having max IVs and even plenty of EVs in the right stats make a big difference too.
