>Gen 6 introduced Mega Evolution, a "4th Evolution"
>Gen 7 introduces Z-moves, a "5th move"
>Gen 8 introduces a "3rd type"
>>32343278
>Gen 8 introduces a "3rd type"
Gen 7 already did this in a way with Steelworker
>>32343302
gen 6 kinda did it with trick or treat
Gen 8 introduces a "2nd ability"
>>32343278
Gen 8 introduces a 7th pokemon to the team
>>32343278
Gen 8 introduces a second save slot.
Gen 8 introducesa 3rd gender
>>32343487
I could see that, some kind of gimmick that allows the temporary "summon" of either a regular Pokemon or a summon-exclusive pokemon
>>32343527
They should have done this already since DS or X/Y.
>>32343660
Yes but Gamekikes love the p£shekels.
>>32343487
>>32343656
Yes but it is only Pikachu.
>>32343668
You could call it a Pikasona.
>>32343428
Back when Hidden Abilities were first announced before Gen 5, they made a really big deal as if they were going to be a brand new battle mechanic instead of "most Pokémon now get a new ability, and they're a pain in the ass to get"
>>32343681
>spoiler didn't work
Well that ruined the emphasis. But why?
>>32343649
heck no
>>32343278
Can boost BST in gen 8
>>32344331But only works on Charizard, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Lucario, Greninja and Decidueye
>>32343649
Gen 7 already didnt have genders since the game asks you to pick which character looks like you at the start instead of asking for your gender
>>32343278
You know what? It honestly wouldn't matter anymore. I wouldn't be surprised.
>>32344524
However what I like about how they did it is that the result was totally seamlessly. Nothing was shoehorned into nobody, it seemed natural to the creation of the character and LGBTs can be happy. Everyone wins.
3 type pokemons will ruin the franchise
>>32344598
3 type Pokémon have existed for a decade.
>>32343487
>gym leaders still only use 3 slots
>>32344364
>Decidueye
>>32343278
It'd be nice if at least a few future gens would improve previous major features instead of adding more cheese to the mix
>>32343278
Gen 8 will have Z abilities
>>32343404
Gen 5 kinda did this with the Original Dragon
>>32343278
Gen 8 introduces Pokémon fusions
(not like the Kyurem forms, actually fusion of two mons that form a new mon)
>>32344617
Such as?
>>32343487
Don't see why the limit had to be 6 to begin with
Why not 8 or even 10? For a game focused on catching and training all Pokemon they're sure as fucking limiting players
>>32348113
Because games last long enough already.
I don't even want to think of a meta where Stall gets an extra 2-4 mons to cancer up the meta evenmore
>>32347386
Gen 4 kind of already did that with Dry Skin.
>>32346784
Gen 5 did that, but /vp/ decided to do a smear campaign against it for reasons unknown.
>>32348113
Because that would last way too fucking long
And in official formats, you don't even use all of your mons anyway; official singles are 3v3, and official doubles are 4v4
>>32343428
We got this in gen 7: Water Bubble
>>32348113
That would be a pain in the ass. 6 is a good number.
>>32348312
Gen 3 kind of already did that with Levitate.
