And it will likely be the series with the biggest amount of heart into its goodbye.

The XY series goodbyes were well done, but SM is setting up a real tear jerker finale.

I'm fully expecting the finale to be a graduation episode where Ash says goodbye to all of his friends from Pokemon School before returning to Kanto. After boarding the plane the credits roll with a song that we all know (probably Alola unless a really important song gets introduced later on down the road) with pictures and video that Rotom has captured throughout the entire series playing during it, ending with a picture of the class and all the important characters standing together taking a farewell picture.

And now that the anime has nearly 1000 total episodes, how many people are actually going to watch through it all? The only reason some of us have seen a large chunk of those episodes is because we've been watching on and off for the last 20 years, and saw a lot of the older seasons as kids/teens. But anyone who wasn't around back then or grew out of Pokemon for years and came back..no way will anyone sit through it all.

So it makes no sense to keep the same protagonist when your fanbase won't have seen 50-80% of the show.

When I was 12 years old and started watching the anime for the first time, never did I ever believe I would be in my 30's and the anime would still be airing, with Ash still as the main character no less. How would much cost the production of this movie?? Seems pretty expensive. Even the animation seems much better than the Volcanion one (for example the fluid scene when ash sees ho oh is pretty well done), i don't know the average budget of the films but this is the first real Blockbuster who they are trying to do since the 3 first movies. Well i need to apologize then, but, i still think that Ash, at least for me, was pretty ugly since the begining.
Also the Team Rocket have a more adult human body than before, in Bw and Xy they look like a kids in some scenes. Also i hated the hair over the eyes who James had, why the fuck the eyes were still visible all the time?
For me the XY style was a pretty kiddy style, yes sounds stupid because the people think that XY is the edgy series but for me the style is pretty closer to Imazuma eleven etc
