Battle spot is the most popular since most kids and Japs play that.
VGC is the least popular by virtue of being tournament based.
Smogon is somewhere in between.

Nah, you need to go to tournaments and shit for vgc.
Battlespot depends. If you combine unrated and rated battlespot the playerbase is pretty big. But battlespot probably has the least amount of "serious" players.
