Hydreigon's problem is that it is a Special attacker while most Fairy-types have high Special Defense and low Defense, and are usually used as defensive Pokémon, so Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave do nothing against most Fairy-types but a physical move like Gunk Shot might be used to OHKO most Fairy-types, mainly Tapu Lele if both are scarfed.
