Good point. I don't know why GF doesn't like to release quality DLC like OP's idea. I suppose you could say that third versions bring in more money, but DLC would build up a lot more goodwill.

As long as the game they're releasing DLC for feels finished, and they're not leaving stuff out specifically to make us pay for later as DLC.
Stuff like the battle frontier, or pokemon world tournament should be in already. Move tutors, elite four/gym leader rematches too. If a past game in the series had it, it should be in the new game already.
