Well, there could be elements of salvage diving too and it'd be interesting to use other Pokemon as not only dive partners but assets as well.

Like Bisharp could cut open passages on shipwrecks, Machoke could clear boulders, Buizel doubles swim speed, etc.,

Well the original pokemon was planned with the trainer getting down with the Pokemon and battling. So what if you had a trainer fight with pokemon in the ring against another trainer with their own ai controlled pokemon they could interact with?

I suppose it could have been done like the Capcom take of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure in that Pokemon "enhance" attacks like Stands do and have a gauge for when they're active. Having to recall the Pokemon puts the trainer at a disadvantage but cooldown time would be very forgiving.

Wario Ware with Pokémon would actually work great. Have each minigame be based around a single Pokémon, and then build up a Pokédex of them.

Pokkén actually sold really well for a Wii U game, it just failed to get much of a competitive crowd.

Wilderness survival adventure game. I want to feel like I live in that world, rather than just trying to get to the end of a game.

Probably have different "styles" or "grooves" on each character depending on their Pokemon. Each has about 2 or 3

Say for example Misty

whereas someone like Rosa

>Mienshao (Technical)
>Durant (Speed)

The Pokemon each influence/assist the trainer's attacks in a certain manner but can also affect their fighting style in a way. You can only choose one before battle, no switching.

More tactical games like Conquest. An original series would be cool but I'd be fine with more crossovers.

I love this idea. I want to survive in the wild, fending off wild pokemon from my camp, bringing back firewood and surviving on the heart and love of my Pokemon and fellow trainers.

I cry knowing almost none of the ideas in this thread will ever be published by the Pokemon company.
