I like those, except I'd make Mars Ground/Steel because all that red stuff on it is apparently rust. I'd love to see a pokemon rust monster, rust is so cool.

How about these?

Jupiter
Electric/Flying
Lots of HP but low defenses, low physical attack with decent SpA

Saturn would be Ice/Rock with high HP, Defense, and Speed, low attacking stats.

Uranus would be super slow Flying/Dark but good in every stat that isn't speed.

Neptune would be Water/Ice and have high speed, low special stats and good physical stats.

Pluto (lol) would be pure Ice, super fast, glass cannon, kinda like Minior with the shell broken.

No idea for abilities on any of these.

Jupiter gets a new ability that auto-sets Gravity

Saturn gets... Skill Link? Combined with STAB Icicle Spear and Rock Blast.

Uranus gets something related to being tilted sideways. Contrary?

Neptune gets something related to having the fastest winds in the solar system. Gale Wings?

Pluto gets something related to its irregular orbit that sometimes brings it closer to the Sun than Neptune. So an ability that increases Speed or priority in certain conditions, like Slush Rush.

I can definitely see where your electric type for jupiter comes (magnetic field) from and it was a severe toss-op between psychic and electric (psychic for the gravity) and honestly I like electric more so imma change that

As for why I didn't make mars ground/steel well simply: mercury is the planet with the highest metal percentage and mars has those very visible polar caps

I'd make uranus ice type at the very least given its the coldest planet in the solar system (somehow colder than neptune, go figure) and dark I don't think fits given it has a fairly high albedo
it is known for being utterly featureless in every way hence ice normal (and yes I am aware of just how utterly that type sucks)

as for neptune: it deserves a flying type honestly given it has the most violent atmosphere in the entire solar system, it also contains zero water. Massive attack stat is once again based on that hyper violent atmosphere

and a bit on the stats: maybe you noticed but HP is based on the mass of the planets and speed based on their orbital velocity

And my choice for saturns strange typing (ghost, the fuck) is a bit of a joke based on how its density is low enough it would actually float on water

What would some other objects be that could be fun to base a pokemon on?

You've got the interesting moons in Luna (our moon), Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto (Galilean moons, they're pretty neat), Titan (does not need explaining, I hope), Rhea (its own ring system), Enceladus (cryovolcanoes), Triton (captured dwarf planet, active surface), Titania (massive canyons, heavy, weird orbit)

and course a few dwarf planets like Ceres, Eris and the mentioned Pluto

Pheromosa for Venus and Buzzwole for Mars fit pretty well though.

I'd argue that Nihilego would be better for Mercury because it is always changing shape, and Xurkitree would be better for Jupiter because it's supposed to be an electric (Zeus) tree (the planet Jupiter in nip is called "Wood Star" or something).

Celesteela fits the Moon I guess, so in the Kartana and Guzzlord are the ones that don't really fit any classical or modern planet unless you reach a lot.
