What are you on about? If they look the same age that means RB happens before DP like it always has. Red was 11 in RB while Cynthia looks the same as in DP. Which btw just because they look similar in age doesn't mean they are. They're both adults. Humans tend to start changing physically once they reach adulthood. Keep in mind most of these conversations arise from people not having the reading comprehension skills of pokemon's target audience. If we cared about the actual facts, most of these threads wouldnt exist. The problem is not overthinking, its people making fanfics.

Not really, they used it to make cross version references and as a plot point in gen 7. They have been mostly consistent with it with the only big issue being wally's looks on gen 7'

Not really, the criteria is clear. Scripted content is canon. Gameplay variable content isnt. Any other fanbase could get it, for some reason, the pokemon fanbase cant.
