If you read it as "not based on anything from our world", then there's a lot of Pokemon that work (a number of Ghost-types, for instance, as well as a few Dragons and Fairies since none of those things actually exist on Earth). However, the full question asks for "an original monster", which is much harder. Spiritomb is based on an existing legend and Snorlax takes a lot from bears, but I can't really think of any real or mythical basis for Chansey/Blissey other than the superficial resemblance to eggs and the very, very, VERY thin connection to a kangaroo.
