I did some looking into this Pokemon because of this thread and I have some silver linings for you.

It isn't just as bulky as staraptor, it actually takes special attacks a chunk better. This doesn't make up for the speed obviously, but Toucannon IS bulkier.

And the special attack doesn't have to be a waste. With Rock Blast, Bullet Seed, and the flying attack of your choice, Toucannon has great coverage. The only things standing in its way are a bunch of steel types. It can use it's special attack with the fact that it can learn Overheat to surprise opponents when they think they walled you out with something like Ferrothorn.

Also Skill Link and Sheer Force are both good abilities.

Phew I finally made it

Well, as much as I love Toucannon, I will not deny that Toucannon sucks. There's no point in avoiding it; Toucannon is a solid NU, probably PU Pokemon. That Staraptor-tier Attack is great, but low Speed and mediocre bulk does not help at all. Toucannon certainly isn't the WORST thing out there, but it sure as hell is far, far away from being the best, much less being on par with Staraptor.

But who cares; I still like Toucannon, and to me, that's all that matters.
